More About Peter Ainley
I didn’t set out to build a strategy consulting firm. I set out to make an impact — and spent a long time figuring out what that actually meant.
My background is in chemical engineering. I’m a licensed P.Eng, and I built my early career in compliance-critical, high-stakes operational environments where precision wasn’t optional and getting strategy wrong had real consequences. That grounding shaped how I think — rigorously, structurally, with a bias toward what actually works rather than what sounds good in a presentation.

That same instinct led me to entrepreneurship. I co-founded an engineering consulting firm, and went on to start other ventures across different sectors. In each of them, I saw the same pattern playing out — smart founders with a real vision, building real momentum, and then hitting a ceiling they couldn’t quite name. The business that had been growing stopped growing — not because the market dried up or the team gave up, but because the foundation underneath wasn’t built to carry what the vision required. Instinct and drive had taken them as far as instinct and drive could. What came next needed something more.
I lived that — including a venture or two that didn’t make it past that ceiling. And I watched others live it too — working harder on the same approach, not realising the constraint wasn’t their effort. It was the absence of structure around their vision.
I’d always been strategic in how I processed every business challenge I encountered — even before I had language for it. What I didn’t have, for a long time, was a methodology rigorous enough to make that instinct repeatable. When I came across the Flowcode methodology and its approach to strategy execution, something clicked. This was the structure I’d been looking for — and had been applying imperfectly for years.
That’s when LOS® Global took shape. A firm built on one conviction: that a well-articulated vision, paired with the right strategy and the leadership to execute it, is what separates the businesses that scale from the ones that stall. Not one of those three. All of them.
The international dimension of this work matters to me — and I think it gives my clients a genuine edge. Eight countries across North America, Africa, and Europe have taught me things about people, culture, and organizational behavior that no single market ever could. For founders whose ambition runs beyond their home market — or who are already operating across borders — that experience is the difference between advice that works in theory and guidance built on how people actually behave in practice.

I’m also a published author. “School of Hard Knock Business” came out of everything I learned the hard way — and the things I wished someone had told me earlier. It reflects the same conviction that drives this firm: that building a business well is learnable, if you’re given the right foundation.
“From Vision to Scale.TM” That’s not just a tagline. It’s the work.
